The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) recently assisted five companies in receiving tax incentives for relocating or expanding in Southern Nevada. The five companies will create 388 new jobs and over $34 million in capital investment. The companies include: Core-Mark International, Mirixa Corporation, Pacific Dental Services, Sitel Operation Corporation and ViaWest,Inc., a data center.
Samba TV has announced plans to open a new facility in Incline Village and plans to bring as many as thirty jobs to the area. Approved for business incentives from the State of Nevada in March, the office opening will help the company expand operations and accommodate growth as it expands its capabilities in real-time TV analytics. In addition to the expansion, Samba will move its datacenter to the SuperNap center in Las Vegas.
A third generation, family owned and operated logistic solutions firm, Sonwil Distribution Center has opened a new operation on Longley Lane in Reno. The company has been serving regional, national and international clients for over 70 years and is headquartered in Buffalo, NY. The company has doubled its staff over the last four months and plans to continue growing in the area.
